Norma - constellation of the Level.

North Star, The - see Polaris.

Northern Crown, The - see Corona Borealis.

Northern Cross, The - large cross-shaped asterism which is the main part of Cygnus.

Octans - constellation of the Octant.

Ophiuchus - constellation of the Serpent Holder and Healer.

Orion - constellation of the Hunter.  Also, lustful pursuer of The Pleiades.

Pavo - constellation of the Peacock.

Peacock, The - see Pavo.

Pegasus - constellation of the Winged Horse on whose back Andromeda rides.

Perseus - mythical hero and rescuer of Andromeda.

Phoenix - constellation of the Firebird.

Pisces - constellation of the Fish.  The Greek goddess Aphrodite and her son (Eros) turned into these fish to escape the giant Typhon.

Piscis Austrinus - constellation of the Southern Fish.

Pictor - constellation of the Easel.

Pleiades - open cluster in Taurus whose brightest stars are  also known as The Seven Sisters - beautiful maidens of Greek mythology.

Polaris - the star which appears to stand almost directly over the Earth’s north pole.  All the stars of the northern hemisphere appear to circle around this star.  It is also known as The Northern Star.

Pollux - brightest star in Gemini.

Plow, The - see Big Dipper, The

Procyon - brightest star in the constellation Canis Minor, The Lesser Dog.
